About Us

Elva Carbery is a qualified solicitor with over 16 years' experience in planning and environmental law. Elva qualified with a degree in environmental science and worked in industry with an energy provider as an environmental scientist before qualifying as a solicitor. Prior to setting up her own practice, Elva worked as an in-house lawyer in the semi-state sector and for 10 years with McCann FitzGerald, a leading commercial law firm in Dublin. Elva was appointed to the role of consultant and was head of the environmental and planning law group in McCann FitzGerald.

Elva has advised on some of the most significant high profile projects in the State as well as advising on high profile planning and environmental proceedings at all Court levels.

Elva holds a B.A. in Environmental Science from Trinity College Dublin and qualified as a solicitor in 2007. Elva has contributed articles to numerous publications on various topics including habitats and climate change law.
